STRONGER RELATIONSHIPS, STRONGER RESULTS: ACAM
NETWORKING

Research and experience indicate that peer learning and networking are
critical to successful organizational development. In response, ACAM has
established networking opportunities for both funders and
ministries:
- Ministry to Ministry:
ACAM
convenes several networking groups for leaders and staff of member
organizations. including:
- Executive Directors Network
- Program Development Network
- Volunteer Management Network
- Resource Development Network
- Thrift Store Institute
Members of these groups enjoy the opportunity to
share experiences, give support and learn from one another. They also benefit
from training tailored to their needs.
- Funder to Ministry:
Co-Learning Events provide opportunities for funders and
ministry leaders to :
- Develop connections outside of the
framework of the ask/give relationship
- Learn about topics of mutual interest, including
best practices
- Gain perspective about issues faced in each
other’s work in the community
- Program to the Public:
ACAM
helps members utilize their collective strength to accomplish joint projects and
purchases that they may not have been able to complete otherwise.
In addition, ACAM members have received exposure in
regional and national media, including articles in the Conference of Southwest
Foundations newsletter, the Association of Small Foundations newsletter and the
Texas Nonprofits Website.
