A Look at the Past

ZCAM ODP was an innovative 3-year pilot program developed and implemented by a network of Houston funders, partners and Zip Code Assistance Ministries (ZCAMs). Participating ministries receive the funding, training and nurturing needed to advance their operations, increase their impact and fill a critical need in Houston’s social services system.

A Transformation Story

The first day of school can usher students into a world of opportunity, but for many—faced with the need for school uniforms and other supplies—it can be a reminder of what they lack. As one of its many services, Memorial Assistance Ministries (MAM) helps students start off on the right foot through the School Voucher Program.

Because of their involvement with ZCAM ODP, MAM was led through an assessment of their capacity and were given funds to build their capacity in the area of their greatest need.

This story of organizational transformation and enhanced services is just one of many among the ZCAM participants. Download this PDF to read more. (PDF, 36KB)

A Look at the Future

ACAM is a membership organization of 501(c)3 faith-based emergency service providers. Prospective members are faith-based in mission and vision, without requiring a particular expression of faith as a basis for receiving services.

"Emergency service providers" provide two or more of the following: food, case management, clothing, employement services, financial assistance for rent and/or utilities, school supplies/uniforms or transportation.
